Ancient Olympia, Nafplion & Mycenae - two day tour

Day 1.In the morning, we drive south along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth canal (short stop). Continue driving through the middle of Peloponissos via Tripoli to arrive at Olympia. Visit the archaeological museum and explore the ancient site of the sanctuary. Run the stadion distance in the stadium, hear about the history of the Olympic Games, learn the principles of the Games and listen to Greek myths associated with Olympia. In the afternoon start driving towards Nafplion. Arrival and check in your hotel in the old town, generally accepted as one of the most beautiful Greek cities.
Day 2. After breakfast explore the castle of Palamidi with the 975 steps above the city. Between June and September, enjoy the beautiful beach of Karathona, before returning to Nafplion for a light lunch. Continue the tour driving to Mycenae, walk through the Lions' Gate, proceed to the Acropolis with the Palace of Agamemnon and visit the Tomb of Atreus. Learn the myths about Agamemnon, his wife Clytemnestra, Orestes, Iphigenia, Electra and the Trojan war. See the secret gate that Orestes used in order to escape after killing his mother. Arrive in Athens before 07.00 pm.

Ancient Elis and Olympia - A two day tour designed for the visitors that have a little time to spare, but want to visit the ancient city of Elis (the city that organised the Olympic Games) and Olympia (the site where the Olympic Games took place).
Leave Athens 08.00am and after a short stop at Corinth canal arrive at the site of ancient Elis. Elis was one of the most important and interesting centres of Peloponissos in antiquity. Explore the agora, the theatre, the unexcavated gymnasiums, and the acropolis.
After the sightseeing, drive to the 5 star hotel,
ALDEMAR OLYMPIAN Village resort, near Pyrgos. Stay for the rest of the day at the premises of the hotel, swiming, having lunch at one of the hotel's restaurant or enjoy a drink at the hotel's bars. Late afternoon departure for Olympia. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at Olympia.
Next morning, after breakfast, meet the tour guide and follow him to the Olympia archaeological museum and the ancient site for a 3 hours tour. After this you are free to visit the other 2 museums on your own, see the monument of Baron Pierre de Cubertin or enjoy the peacefull setting of the area. After lunch, slowly start the return to Athens.

Pylos & Olympia - two day tour
Day 1. In the morning, depart via the Corinth canal (stop), Tripolis and Kalamata(stop) for Pylos. Early afternoon we drive to Olympia to check into your hotel. Overnight at Olympia.
Day 2. In the morning, explore the Olympia site and visit the archaeological museum. There are another two museums you may visit displaying the history of the Olympic Games. Afternoon departure to return to Athens.
Kalavryta & Olympia - two day tour
Day 1. In the morning, depart via the Corinth canal (stop) to Diakofto. Board the famous "rack & pinion" railway for the ride to Kalavryta. After lunch we visit the "Caves of the lakes" before arriving at Olympia. Overnight at Olympia.
Day 2. In the morning, explore the Olympia site and visit the archaeological museum. There are another two museums you may visit displaying the history of the Olympic Games. Afternoon departure to return to Athens.
