The Athens
airport is 33 km outside of Athens and
is one of the easiest airports in the world to reach from the city centre.
There are various ways to travel between Athens airport
and the city centre.
1) From outside the Arrivals' Building exit. The bus ticket costs 5.00 euro per person
The airport bus runs 24 hours departing every 20 minutes during the day time / 30 minutes at night time.
Tickets may be purchased from the bus driver, the kiosk
outside the arrivals building or any metro station ticket sales office.
- Bus No. 95 takes you to the centre of Athens,
SYNTAGMA Square, across the Parliament House.
- Bus No. 93 takes you to the Athens Intercity Bus
Station of Kifissos, while,
- Bus No. 96 takes you through the Southern suburbs
of Athens to the port of Piraeus.

The Metro Station is 200m from the Arrivals Building and
the ticket costs 8.00 euro for one person or 14.00 for 2 persons.
Departs every 30 minutes from the airport to Athens centre whisking one into the
central part of town in only 40 minutes. At the
station of the airport Line (Monastiraki), you connect to
the old subway line that takes you all the way to the port of Piraeus.
SUBURBAN
or PROASTEIAKOS RAILWAY
The ticket costs 8.00 euro p.p. Departs every 30
minutes connecting the airport with the ATTIKO METRO line
(changing platform at PLAKENTIAS Station you can take the
METRO line and arrive to the city centre and not only),
the Athens Railway Station and connecting the town of
Corinth (75 km) with Athens within 50 minutes.
TAXI SERVICE
The taxi ride to Athens centre costs 35.00
euro during daytime depending on the city traffic and
this includes luggage transportation and road tolls.
Taxis in Greece are allowed to take only up to 4 passengers
counting the children too.
