Travelback in history 7,000 years and discover the Land of Great Alexander.
Day 1: Drive North and arrive in Delphi. Visit the site and the museum.
After lunch depart for Kalambaka. (Dinner and o/night)
Day 2: Visit 2 monasteries and see specimens of Byzantine art.
After lunch depart and driving next to Mt Olympus arrive in Thessaloniki. (Dinner and o/night)
Day 3: In the morning visit the city. Feel the Byzantine past in the old churches and in the Museum of Byzantine Culture. Rest of the day free, to enjoy the center of the city. (Dinner and overnight)
Day 4: Depart for Greek Macedonia. Stop at Edessa, the town with the Waterfalls. Proceed to Naoussa, known for Aristotle's School, where the philosopher taught ‘doctrines of morals and politics' to Great Alexander. Next step is a visit to Vergina (ancient Aigai) and a visit to the unique Museum. See the golden findings from the tomb of King Phillip II, Alexander's father. Very close to Vergina is Veria (Biblical Berea). Visit St Paul's Bema and stroll through the old Jewish neighbourhood. Return to Thessaloniki. (Dinner and overnight)
Day 5: Drive to Pella, the capital of Alexander the Great. See the exquisite floor mosaics. Proceed to the Archaeological Park of Dion (sacred city of the Macedonians). After the visit we shall start driving south and through Lamia, and Thermopylae (Leonidas' statue) arrive in Athens late in the afternoon.
