Our history in the travel industry.

We are proud that since 1997 we are the only travel agency in Athens owned and operated for three generations by the same family.

The founder, Theodoros (the grandfather) started his career in the travel industry in 1926,and established his own agency, astoria travel in 1958. Over the years the agency has grown in an experienced company, involved in various aspects of tourism in Greece. Our services will cover most of your needs, however we are versatile and will meet your requirments and welcome your suggestions. Personal service has been our motto all these years and we are determined to keep it as our main goal in our business and customer relations.
Kosta (the son): From the early age of 14 I have been involved in the travel industry working during my summer school holidays in my father's astoria travel.
After I finished my high school in Athens, I emigrated to South Africa where I lived for 10 years (1964 -1974). in Port Elizabeth. I graduated from U.P.E. with my B.Com.. As a proper "Sagittarian", traveling was not only a hobby, but a "need", and from my travels I have gathered plenty of experiences. My biggest problem was, that I had very little time to see the things I wanted to see and many times I felt that I needed guidance from a local. When I settled back in Greece my hobby became a carreer, while I still retain the same enthusiasm and desire for knowledge that I had in the past. My effort is to give to people what I needed on my travels, the guidance of a local expert. My efforts were successful, because my presence in Athens made people feel more comfortable. Today, after 30 years in the business, I am fortunate to work along with my two daughters and provide high quality services, based on reliability, friendliness and logical prices.

Zefi and Marina(the grand daughters) The young blood (both Sagittarians) in the office has made the difference in attitude and client relations. Today's youth is more friendly and open to new friends. Both of them, each in her own department of the business, managed to absorb the experience they needed and today they are running the office successfully. This is why we are proud that we are the only Athenian Travel agency belonging to the same family for three generations. We hope that despite of the big problems that the 21C. has brought with him worldwide, we shall keep on offering the service we feel a tourist needs when in Greece.
